Ultimate iPod Video Background Hack
This is a port a of the
ultimate nano background hack. Everything is perfect. 100% Reboot proof and 100%
perfect.
Thanks to everyone who tested the firmwares and who
hosted the firmwares.
All new themes themes should start with [BG/1.2.1] to avoid confusion.
Randy's video of the hack on my 5.5G 30GB iPod.
Features:
- Original Solitaire Background (the solid green background).
- Original Screenlock/Stopwatch background (brushed metal background).
- 4-bit color font hack is included.
- There's 3 useless resource that show on each menu (this
opens up lots of possibilities for new hacks).
- White spots in the legal section are fixed.
- White frame at the bottom of the now playing is fixed.
- Titlebar appears over the background.
- 100% reboot proof.
- Themes are interchangeable (5g to 5.5, 5.5g to 5g)
- Hacks are interchangeable (5g to 5.5, 5.5g to 5g)
- You don't lose any pictures.
- Game Hack is included.
- 13mb Firmware instead of 40mb Firmware. It boots faster
Extras resources included:
- Remove Solitaire Background (replaces with the normal background).
- Remove Stopwatch Background (replaces with the normal background).
- Remove Screenlock Background (replaces with the normal background).
- Remove the Titlebar.
Instructions:
1. Download and extract the .zip file at the bottom.
2. Open iPodWizard 1.3 or 1.2d (iPodWizard 1.3 preferably).
3. Select "Firmware File" as the edit mode
4. Edit the firmware you want the way you want to.
5. If your using a firmware file, press "Write" and after "Write to iPod".

I'm glad to say this is going to be my
last release of the background hack for nano.
Everything is perfect on it. 100% Reboot proof and 100% perfect.
UPDATE 2 IS OUT.
Features:

ok here's how (glitchy so i won't post a firmware
file
1. download a 1.2.6 binary with two 320x240 bgs
(for 5.5g ipods duh)
2. load binary into ipw
3.go to schemes layout and search 24541
change all of the paMB's that link to 24395 to 0 (id) in 24541 to the end of the
tree
4.go to -346 and change the first enon's z3 value from 2560 to 2561
5.change all of the z1 and z4 values of all the enons to 0
6.ok now search for 24395 and change all those ids to 21997
7.then search for 25522 and chnage the id there from 21997 to 24395
8. change 21997 to main bg pic and 24395 to your now plying bg and there ya go
have fun (this works because i have it on my ipod right now
)

no color font on some menus. Main Menu and

not sure what else. let me know if you see

I made the 5.5g Ipod clasic look Firmware
now for the 5G Ipod
It have some bug's but it works.
I'm fixing the bugs at the moment.. an
